Balconette Bras
A balconette bra creates a squared off neckline. It is structured and supportive through the centre front and lifts the bust from the bottom of the cups giving a nice fullness to your bust. A balconette bra provides the "va va voom" without the plunging overspill. Balconette bras are usually made up of three or four pieces of fabric, the most important being the side support panel that wraps around the side of the bust and attaches to the shoulder strap. The idea of this side panel is to project the bust forward creating a minimising look. Balconette bras are mostly pretty, as they are finished off with beautiful laces and satin. The structure and support comes from the bottom half of the cup as the fabric is laminated to reduce any forgiveness that will compromise the support. Our fitters love using balconette bras on their customers as a confidence booster. They provide the perfect shape under a lot of figure hugging dresses, especially ones with a square neckline. We have carefully selected the absolute best in all of these styles from a broad range of trusted designers in balconette bras, including Panache, Fantasie and Primadonna.
Padded Half Cup Bras
Half cup bras suit a wide range of bust shapes and sizes. Half Cup bras can also feature a side support that creates an added ‘pop’ to the top of your bust. The idea of a half cup is that it lifts your bust from the underneath. When a half cup bra is fitted correctly, you will be amazed at how full your bust can look. Half Cup Bras are a great tool used by our fitters to create fullness in the bust that may have been lost due to a number of reasons. Similar to a balconette style bra, a half cup has a squared off neckline but the top of the cup is even more cut away, so that empty pocket is no longer there to be filled. Weight loss, breastfeeding are two main reasons why you may have lost that fullness in the top of the bust. You might notice that you will go to put on your old style bras and there is an emptiness at the top of the cup that you no longer fill, half cups will work for you.
